Somalia President receives warm welcome in Burundi




The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, met with Burundian H.E. President Pierre Nkurunziza at the airport . President Mohamed and Burundi’s President Pierre Nkurunziza will discuss strengthening and developing relations between the two countries and enhancing the security cooperation.

Burundi is one of the countries contributing to peace and stabilization in Somalia and their troops is part of Amisom peacekeeping force. The delegation of the visit of the President of Somalia will hold a series of meetings to strengthen co-operation between the two countries and their shared interests with their Burundi counterparts.

The Federal Government of Somalia is committed to re-strengthening its relations with African countries, to address the challenges and constraints that are shared, and exchange experiences with the development of the state and the development of the state.
