Somalia prime minister Hamza received a promise from Japan’s Africa aid $100 million




The Prime Minister of Somalia, Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, who is currently in Tunisia, had a special meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Yoshimasa Hayashi, while on the other hand, the TICAD8 international conference between the Japanese government and African leaders.

Prime Minister Hamza and Yoshimasa Hayashi, in a meeting, talked about the strengthening of historical relations, cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, who spoke at the forum, promised Prime Minister Hamza that his government is ready to strengthen its commercial, security and political relations with the federal government of Somalia Africa aid $100 million dollar assistance support, according to sources close to Somali prime minister told Somali Times.

He also added that they will contribute to development programs for the Somali people. For his part, Prime Minister Hamza thanked the Japanese government for the various aspects of support it provides to Somalia.

Japan is one of the countries supporting Somalia, and it has good relations with the federal government of Somalia. However, he is coming to the meeting during the TICAD8 conference, which the Japanese government has supported to strengthen business and political relations in Africa.
