Somalia state of Galmudug police forces arrested Shuayb Abdi Mohamed, 27 years old, a teacher of a Quranic school, who was accused of raping 3 girls aged 9, 7 and 5 years.
The Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force, Gen. Sakiye Hussein reported this news in a post on her Twitter account, saying that the public participated in the arrest of the suspect.
“With the cooperation of the Somali people, the Somali Police Force can fulfill its commitment to protect lives and protect the law,” said Gen. Sakiye Hussein.
The alleged rape of 3 school girls who was learning the Quran in Dusmareb, has shocked many people, and this incident has become a topic of discussion in Dusmareb.
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of cases of rape. It is not known why a teacher of a Quranic school rapes the students he is teaching.
Puntland, which is one of the places where such cases happen, recently the women’s ministry said that it is thinking of creating separate schools for girls with female teachers.
