Somalia warns the Kenyan government who have deployed weapons and militias in Mandera to raid Beled Hawo.

The Federal Government of Somalia has said that it is closely monitoring the Kenyan military operation in Mandera, North Eastern Province.

A statement from the Somali government said the government had learned that Kenya was deploying weapons and militias in Mandera to launch an offensive attack in the town of Beled-Hawo in Gedo region.

The government has warned Kenya of its actions that could undermine security in the Horn of Africa, and has warned Kenya once again of its blatant interference in Somalia’s internal affairs.

The statement from the Somali government stated that the federal government will take every step to ensure its political independence, territorial integrity and protection of the people of Somalia. Federal state closely monitors military mobilization in Kenya’s Mandera.

The Federal Government of Somalia warns the Kenyan government of its actions that undermine the overall security of the Horn of Africa region, and reiterates its reconsideration of Kenya’s blatant interference in Somalia’s internal affairs that could lead to instability.

The Federal Government of Somalia shall take all necessary steps to ensure its political independence, territorial integrity and the protection of the dignity and honor of the people of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
