Somalia’s President Farmajo travel to Qatar

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and a delegation led by him recently left for Doha, Qatar, where Farmjo will begin a two-day visit.

The Somali presidency said the president had received an invitation from the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and they would discuss strengthening ties between the two countries.




“Part of the President’s visit is the opening of the Arab Football Cup, which was hosted by Arab leaders, to strengthen cooperation in the development of sports and youth integration in the Arab world,” said the Director of Information of the Presidency.

President Farmajo will hold talks with leaders attending the opening ceremony of the tournament.

The President will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Chairman of the Somali Football Federation Abdiqani Said Arab.
