Turkey’s Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç confirmed that Mohamed Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, the son of Somalia president, will soon arrive in Turkey to face trial in a car accident in Istanbul, killing a Turkish national.
Emre Göçer, died after he was seriously injured in the accident that was responsible for the son of the Somalia president, who escaped to the United Arab Emirates a few days after the accident.

Tunc told the press while speaking at an event in Ankara that Mohamed Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud will be brought to court.

Referring to social media criticism that Göcer’s rights have been violated, the minister said, “The law will protect the rights of our citizens. We will follow the necessary decisions. Mohamed will also come from abroad to face the court.”

Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud recently said that his 40-year-old son did not flee from Turkey. He said he advised her to come back and appear in court.
