The Prime Minister-designate, Mr. Mohamed Hussein Roble, who will replace Mr. Hassan Ali Khaire, has a difficult task ahead of him, starting with the next elections in 2020 and 2021. Prof. Mohamed Hassan Doob, one of the Somali scholars, said that the new Prime Minister, who has a short tenure, is facing a huge task with success and failure, and pointed out the need to work with him.

He also underlined that he is expected to implement the 15 articles of the election agreement and addresses security and politics.

“There is a huge task ahead with success and failure, the most important of which are the agreement between the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia and the regional federal leaders, elections security, politics, members of the opposition and mobilization,” said Prof. Mohamed Hassan Doob. He added that the prime minister could only succeed if he was given the responsibility to work with him.

“If he is free to do his job and not the president, parliament and state governments, he will achieve what is expected of him, but if he comes up with political and security plans, he will look at everything carefully. Will this overcome the obvious burden? ” he added.

However, the Somali parliament has approved the new prime minister announced on September 23, 2020.
