Where Villa Somalia is heading?

Concerns are growing over the situation in the country, and there are growing calls from the international community, which supports the Somali governance process, that the Dhusamareb agreement will not be implemented.

The Dhusamareb Conference closed on July 22. The main point was to establish a technical committee to work on the appropriate types of elections at this time and to convene a meeting on 15 August in Dhusamareb to present the committee’s work and The most important point was that the election should take place on time. About three regional governments have prepared the members of the technical committee, namely Hirshabelle, Jubaland and Puntland, each with two members.

With 17 days to go until the scheduled meeting, the Federal Government, which was supposed to take the lead, has not yet appointed a technical committee, and is swimming in other political waves such as the search for a new prime minister and an extension.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo issued a statement following the Prime Minister’s statement on July 9th that the country was going to the polls and that they were working on that, and an extension would lead to political turmoil in the country, and the President said he supported the government’s call.

Once again, when the House of the People announced the overthrow of the Government, and President Farmajo warmly welcomed his statement, he concluded that he stands by the decisions of Dhusamareb and that the conference is preparing for the elections. Will happen. So are President Farmajo’s tactics true in light of his recent actions in light of his previous statement in support of the government’s call, and the war waged days after Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.

If he does not announce the agreed technical committee this week, it is clear that the Dhusamareb 3 conference has collapsed, as there is no work to be done.
