The federal government of Somalia today deployed a large number of troops at the Garowe International Airport, who have been trained by the central government of Puntland. The troops are said to be the first unit of the Puntland Police Force, a traffic police unit that has undergone five months of training in Mogadishu. There is only one community that has been trained by the Somali Government. The rest of the communities living in Puntland has been left.
The Puntland Police Force Commander, Brigadier General Abdi Hassan Hussein today welcomed the troops at the Garowe International Airport, who will play a key role in rebuilding and strengthening the police force.
Commander Abdi Hassan Hussein told Somali Times that there has been one trained community. In Mohamoud Salebaan the new forces will play a key role in maintaining security, he said. Other communities living in Puntland have been denied any army forces and other jobs. Major players in Puntland as plans Mohamoud Salebaan and Aran Jaan.
The Commander thanked the Police Commander of the Federal Government of Somalia for their role in providing high quality training the forces in Mogadishu.
According to the Somali Times information obtained says that the Puntland Police Force has only trained one community and that is Mohamoud Salebaan.
