Abdirahman Abdishakur said, ‘The independence of Somalia is in question for one reason.’ Wadajir Party leader Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, an opposition politician, said in an interview with outlet media that Somalia’s independence was in question.

Abdirahman Abdishakur based it on presence in the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), which controls key areas of the country, such as the presidential palace, the airport, the Mogadishu port, the parliament building and other key locations. He said that, ‘In the program that the recapture of Somalia’s independence would begin on the day the Somali soldiers handed over everything, but before that there was a question of whether we were an independent country.’

“Somalia’s arms still is in the credibility gap of the standard of the day away from the Ugandan officer in Villa Somalia in the key office of the president,” said the leader of the party together. “As long as foreign troops provide security for Villa Somalia, airport security, port security or the security of the parliament building, Somalia’s sovereignty is in question.”

“Those foreigners who came to Somalia to solve a problem among Somalis on the day we release them, hand them over to the Somali soldiers, and Somalia falls into the hands of the Somali soldiers will then begin to regain Somalia’s independence.”
