Abdirahman Irro, who was elected by the people  with a majority vote, will now lead Hargeisa administration for the next five years.

The electoral commission also announced that the parties Waddani, Kaah and Kulmiye emerged from the Hargeisa administration political arena, and thus the Ucid party left the political arena of Hargeisa administration, which did not retain its position.

The results of this election, which were predicted, were influenced by the recent steps taken by the Muse Bihi government, such as; the maritime agreement and the war in Las Anod.

The new leadership of Hargeisa administration faces many challenges, including addressing the local living conditions that have reached their lowest point after rampant inflation.
