The Prime Minister of Somalia, Mr Hamza Abdi Barre, who gave a speech today at the inauguration of the new Commander of the National Army, Odowa Yusuf Rage, spoke about the political situation in the country, especially the impasse over the country’s elections.

Hamza specifically spoke about the issue of Jubaland which has now reached its worst point, as Ahmed Islam is holding indirect elections.

The prime minister, who is from Jubbaland opened his mouth today and accused Ahmed Islam of wanting to milk himself.
He also added that the leader of the Jubaland regional government is working on a plan to topple the Dan-Qaran government, as Hamza said.

“The leadership of Jubbaland wants to pour milk and try to topple the National Security Government,” said Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
He also added that “President Ahmed Islam does not have the right to govern Jubaland and I am warning him to use the power of the Army”.
Finally, the prime minister sent a message to the people of Jubaland, who called on them to decide their fate, and he also instructed the army not to get involved in politics, but to focus on operations and the liberation of Jubaland areas.
This statement comes at a time when Jubaland is in the process of organizing the last election of the administration, which is greatly opposed by the federal government, as Ahmed Madobe wants to hold a special election.
