The MPs who issued a press release after a press conference held outside the Somalia Parliament said that they sympathize with their people who are protesting yesterday and today in support of the Ethiopian troops and rejecting those who have been made by Egypt in the Wajid and Hudur districts of the Bakol region.

First of all, the parliamentarians criticized corrupt President Hassan Sheikh and accused him of entering into defense agreements between opposing governments that were not presented to the Somalia Parliament.

“The corrupt president of the Somalia has entered into many security and defence agreements with Egyptian government conflict with Ethiopia, which have not been brought before the People’s Assembly, and this may result in serious risks,” the press release said.

They also warned that in Somalia, especially in the South West areas, the Nile River crisis will be brought to the fore, and then they will fight in Ethiopia and Egypt.

“Now, knowing the concerns and feelings of our people and our responsibility for security and stability, we strongly reject the international conflict on the Nile River that could lead to wars in the Horn of Africa that would cause harm to people. to be shipped to Somalia, especially in the South-West areas” the statement said again.
It was also added that “it is appropriate for governments that are fighting each other to agree and fight over our country to work on it”.
Finally, these MPs called on the central government not to create further unrest in the South-West, and to return Egyptian troops their countries.
“We are telling the leadership of the Somali government that the development in the South-West area is that they should be guided by the consultation, but they should not lead to political turmoil, war and destruction,” the statement concluded.
These MPs were preceded by others from the South West who gathered in Mogadishu last night, who were also against the Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafta-Garen administration’s plan for Ethiopia, and said that the people were mobilized, taking advantage of the security situation. in Bay and Bakol regions.
