As the dispute over Somalia’s 2021 elections continues, information is emerging about eight cities that President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo intends to launch in the Upper and Lower House elections.
According to Somali Times, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo plans to begin the bicameral election process immediately in eight towns in the South West, HirShabelle, Galmudug and Benadir regions.
The cities where President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is expected to hold elections are:
1-Dhusamareb
2-Galkayo
3-Jowhar
4-Baladweyne
5-Baidoa
6-Baraawe
7-Benadir
8-Gedo.
The move comes just three days after the government’s prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, said the process would continue.
