The President of the South West State of Somalia, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafta-Gareen has today returned to Baidoa, after attending meetings in Mogadishu.

Reports said that Lafta-Gareen, after returning to Baidoa, will officially run in his administration’s election of members of the Somali Upper House. Southwest is already scheduled to be the first administration to launch elections in the country, especially the Upper House of the Somali parliament.

Lafta-Gareen President was part of the announcement of elections announced by the Somali capital Mogadishu, while there is still conflict in the process run by the central government. Lafta Gareen has also played a mediating role, liaising with the leaders of Jubaland and Puntland, but no agreement has yet been reached.

Villa Somalia is trying to vote President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo in 2021 to begin the four-year presidency for Farmajo to lead the country and the Southwest HirShabelle & Galmudug as the main supporter for Farmajo.
