Ahmed Naji Sa`ad, one of the pillars of Somali art, died tonight in London, may God have mercy on him. His death was confirmed by his son Yahye Ahmed-Naji. Ahmed-Naji was one of the artists who had a great history in the Somali theater and literature.

Ahmed Naji is a Somali musician legend who revived Somali music with Kaban expertise and music writer. According to his historical record, he was born in 1939 in the district of Shibis in Mogadishu, which at that time was called Bilajo Arab.
