Kuwait: Iraqi government requests $ 100 billion to rebuild its country

The Kuwaiti delegation was briefed on the situation in Iraq by the Iraqi government. The Iraqi government has asked for $ 100 billion to be set up to rebuild the cities destroyed in the conflict.

It seems that the majority of the international community has not yet made any promises to the Iraqi request.
The United States has said it will pay 3 billion in loans, while Kuwait’s counterpart said it would offer 1 billion donors and 1 billion investment. There are also international organizations involved in the conference that promise about 300 million dollars worth of projects.

The international community is less than the needs of the Iraqi government. The International Monetary Fund  is fighting to overthrow the ISIS and its rebuilding efforts, which seem to have failed to fulfill its commitments.
