Mogadishu’s civilian houses are to be charged extra tax

The Benadir regional administration’s tax department has met to speed up the collection of tolls from civilian houses in Mogadishu. Authorities said three issues would be resolved through the tax, including. Education, Health and Road Construction in Mogadishu.



Banadir Regional Deputy Governor for administration and finance Ahmed Hassan Iman chaired the meeting, and it was said that only civilian homes would be taxed. A spokesman for the Benadir regional administration said they were stepping up their assigned tasks, including health and rebuilding the capital.

The spokesman Farmajo government said civilian who refuse to pay the money will be fined Benadir regional administration. However, this has to implement the tax season taken by the government.
