Somalia Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire on Thursday met with the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New York, on the sides of the UN General Assembly.
Released Statement by the office of the Prime Minister stated that both leaders discussed about bilateral cooperation and the current projects that China is implementing in Somalia. The security of the eastern African region, political development, strengthening the bilateral relations between the two governments and China’s support in the reconstruction of Somalia” were among the issues discussed during the meeting.
Somalia Prime minister thanked Chinese government in their role in supporting Somalia and emphasized on the importance to strengthen the relationship. The Prime Minister, is expected to address the UN General Assembly today.
