President Mohamed receives credentials from the new Belgium Ambassador to Somalia




Mogadishu-President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo has today on Tuesday received credentials from the new Belgian, H.E. Nicolas Nihon at the state house in Mogadishu,
The President and the Ambassador discussed key issues including an update on the latest situation in the country, enhancing ties and mutual co-operations between Somalia and Belgium and Belgians Support to Somalia at moment.

The President received diplomatic documents from the new Belgian Ambassador to Somalia, Nicolas Nihon, this shows that Somalia is returning its embassies in the world, very few European countries are away and they are on the way to open their diplomatic missions here”, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Mr Mukhtar Mahad Da’ud said after the meeting.

Belgium which is also the headquarter for European Union is expected to host an international forum for Somalia on 24th June, this month. The forum will focus on army architecture and Somalia’ foreign support according to the latest National Security Council’s forum in Baidoa town.
