The Somali President met religious scholar needs to bring to light the community of al-Shabaab and their ideology




The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed met with the Somali community in Mogadishu, called on religious scholars to accelerate their role in the fight against radical ideology.

The president said the collective and co-operative cohesion is the foundation for the eradication of terrorism and the eradication of ideas that have delayed our sovereignty, including tribal, corruption and injustice.
The president said “Terrorists benefit from the conflicts within the community, in particular the lack of co-operation among religious and religious leaders. Therefore, you should always unite the community in the fight against terrorism that is a jihadist duty to us. ”
“The Somali people are gifted to a noble character in accordance with our Islamic religion, but it has been aimed at eradicating all of us from our names. The scholars should illuminate the community of al-Shabaab and its ideological ideas. ”

On the other hand, the religious leaders shared the views and suggestions of the President on the fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists, and expressed his solidarity with the Somali Federal Government.
The scholars said they are confident that government efforts to reform the judiciary, the preservation of the independence of the country, the growth of the economy and the remembrance of hundreds of young people who are suffering from foreign prisons.
The President thanked the elders who attended this meeting as they responded to the invitation, noting that the Somali scholars have been present in the country’s quest for recognition, knowledge dissemination, strengthening security and social justice.
