Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble sent a message to opposition politicians and candidates who is opposed to the election, saying his government was ready to appease anyone who had concerns about the election.
“I say my door is open to anyone who has a complaint about the election. I am ready to resolve it in general and in particular,” said Prime Minister Roble. Speaking on the situation in the country, he called on the Somali people to remain calm and have confidence in the government he leads, promising that there will be free and fair elections in the country.
The Prime Minister’s statement comes at a time when there are still major disagreements over the country’s election process, and the Electoral Commission has issued a timetable for finalizing the election of the two Houses of the Somali Parliament.
