Prime Minister says Ethiopian Airlines jet crashes on way to Kenya




An Ethiopian Airlines aircraft that was Nairobi-bound crashed on Sunday, six minutes after take off. The Boeing 737 passenger jet is said to have had 149 passengers with eight crew on board.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has sent his condolences to the families. On his Twitter page, he said, “The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning”.
