Halima Mohamed, the wife of Prof. Abdiwahab Sheikh Abdisamad, who spoke to the media in Nairobi, Kenya, said that the abduction of her husband, Abdiwahab, has revealed that he was involved in the office of the Prime Minister of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble.

Last Wednesday, Prof. Abdiwahab was abducted in central Nairobi, and his wife and sister told the media that they did not yet know where Abdiwahab was being held.

“Abdiwahab has been missing for four days and we have received information that an order from the office of the Prime Minister Roble is attached. We are really surprised by that. It is better for us Somalis to use each other,” said Halima Mohamed.

She said her husband Abdiwahab had no interest in Somalia, but always talked about what was in the best interest of his homeland.

“We are not complaining. It is official that the office of Prime Minister Roble is involved in Abdiwahab’s case. If Abdiwahab is harmed, Roble will take responsibility,” added Halima Mohamed.

Faiso Sheikh Abdisamad who is the brother of Prof. Abdiwahab Sheikh Abdisamad said that they are very sorry and worried about the absence of Prof. Abdiwahab.

“We have been informed that Roble’s office has requested that Prof. Abdiwahab was arrested, and we did not expect that, because Abdiwahab is not interested in Somalia, he is a man who wants Somali unity, and there is no charge against him,” said Faiso Sheikh Abdisamad.
