Somali Minister of Defense Hassan Hussein Haji, accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdirizak, welcomed the Irish Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney and other members to Mogadishu.
The Somali Minister of Defense Hassan Hussein Haji, the Irish Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs jointly greeted units of the Armed Forces who waved the flags of the two governments.
Also present at the airport were Director General of the Ministry of Defense Hassan Mohamed Said Samatar, Somali spy agency officials and other members.
Simon Coveney, who has been in Kenya for the past two days, said he had met with Kenyan government officials to discuss co-operation to increase the number of women in the agricultural sector.
