“The 2021 elections will be similar to those in the South West, Galmudug and Hirshabelle.” Said Mahdi Guled.

Somali Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled Khadar said in a speech at the National Theater that they will win the first round of the 2021 elections. He cited the recent elections in some regional states, particularly in the South West, Galmudug and Hirshabelle, which he said were won by the presidents in the first round.



“The member states of the Federal Government are a good example for you. The South West State of Somalia has convened a meeting. There has been a contest. “Once again, we know Galmudug. Qoor-qoor came out on top in the first round. Thirdly, we know Hirshabelle. Ali Gudlawe came out in the first round. This is the time for the first round in 2020.”

Mahdi added that this country never needs a leader to be tested all the time, but instead we will move forward. “We intend to move forward in the first round unequivocally, because this country is moving forward,” he said.

The statement comes at a time when some opposition politicians and presidential candidates the government of organizing an electoral process based on looting and corruption that is therefore unacceptable.
