Kigali– The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr Ahmed Issa Awad, met with Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community, Ms. Louise Mushikiwabo in Kigali and expressed the aspiration of Somalia to strengthen relations with friendly Rwanda, especially in light of the common desire and the existence of many opportunities and factors that push bilateral relations to the benefit of both countries and peoples.
The two sides also discussed ways and means of developing relationships between the two countries at various levels to support their interests and meet their aspirations to expand the horizons of joint cooperation, as well as contribute to further coordination on various issues. They also exchanged ideas and insights on regional and international issues of common concern.
