Somali Health Minister says it is illegal to trade TB medicines





The Minister of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia, Fowsia Abiikar Nur has a signed letter that prohibits traffickers from selling TB medicines and cannot bring them home.

Fowsia said that TB medicines are free and accessible to Somali health facilities and it is illegal to trade. On the other hand, the government hospitals are taking over and operating in government.
The minister said most of the Somali federal government hospitals are controlled by individuals non-governmental organizations, which are to be in control Somali federal government.
