The Somali National Army has today killed 87 terrorist militants in the Lower Jubba region




Mogadishu–Somali National Army has today on Monday killed 87 terrorist militant groups of Al-Shabaab at Bar-Sanguni area about 50 kilometres north of Kismayo town in the lower Jubba region southern Somalia,
Deputy Minister of Information of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr Adam Isak, told Media that the National forces resisted the terrorist attack on the army base.

“Our forces managed to kill 87 terrorist fighters of Al-Shabaab this morning at Bar-Sanguni army base because of the Army’s alertness towards the enemy”, Mr Isak said.
Military officials in the area confirmed that the militants performed suicide car bomb attack before fierce fighting between the army and the terrorist fighters about 5:00 am local time.

About four government soldiers were killed and five others injured during the offensive according to the officials. Military officials disproved Al-Shabaab claims of killing 27 SNA soldiers and running the base, calling it to be baseless propaganda against the realities on the ground.
