The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur Madobe today paid tribute to the newly elected President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud.

The two leaders discussed ways to continue the peace and political process in Somalia.

“We discussed the situation in the country and how to move the peace and political stability process forward together,” Aden Madobe said.

Hassan Sheikh became the first president to return to power in the country, succeeding Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, who had handed over power five years ago in 2017.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud has won the country’s 10th presidential election last night, following corrupt lawmakers voting for Hassan Sheikh.

Somalia is most corrupted country in the world ranking number one.
