Somalia: Las Anod is under attack by murderers Muse Bihi and Mohamed Kahin

Las Anod residents told Somali Times dozens of people have been killed and injured in the violence, including a family of eight who were killed when a mortar landed on their home. Hargeisa SNM militia reportedly launched the mortars that killed the mother and her seven children.

A doctor at Las Anod hospital told Reuters that at least 34 people were killed and another 40 wounded in the clashes.




At one point, shelling hit the hospital, said a second doctor who asked not to be named. “The wounded have now been removed from this hospital,” the doctor added.

There is a official declaration from Isimada community leaders in a meeting in the city of Las Anod that explains they are no longer part of the Hargeisa SNM Front lead by murderers Muse Bihi and Mohamed Kahin.




Isimada community leaders have announced that they are not part of the SNM Front in Hargeisa. They said that from today they are part of the federal government of Somalia, and their land will be governed by the constitution of Somalia.

In the announcement from the meeting in the town of Las Anod, the SNM Front was told to immediately withdraw its forces from the SSC territory.

Isimada community leaders said that the administration will be transferred to the federal government of Somalia while the constitution of Somalia is completed.
