Somalia’s most famous singer Fadumo Ali Nakruma dies in Mogadishu

Fadumo Ali Nakruma, a popular singer from the Waberi group has passed away today at the Martini Hospital in Mogadishu. She was admitted to Martini Hospital in the last few days with a coronavirus infection, which eventually led to her death.

Fadumo Nakruma was a national singer and one of the pillars of Somali art, according to the Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, who issued a statement on the death of the deceased.



Prime Minister Roble first offered his condolences to the family, the arts community and the Somali people in general, and described her as a national singer who has played a key role in nation building and public awareness.

“I extend my condolences to her family, the arts community and the Somali people in general on the death of National Singer Fadumo Ali Nakruma has been one of the pillars of Somali art and has played a key role in nation building and community awareness, PM ”Roble said in a post on his Facebook page.

Fadumo Nakruma is one of a number of coronavirus-infected, officials who have died in the country and abroad.
