Somalia’s President son was found guilty killing innocent Turkish national




Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, son of Somalia’s President, was convicted on Tuesday of causing a fatal traffic accident in Istanbul and sentenced to a fine, concluding a high-profile case that drew international attention.

Mohamoud’s diplomatic car collided with a motorcycle courier, Yunus Emre Gocer, on a highway in Istanbul on November 30th. Gocer died six days later, leading to charges of “causing death by negligence” against Mohamoud, according to Ilkha reported.

An arrest warrant was issued for Mohamud, but he reportedly left Turkey before authorities could take him into custody. He only returned last week to testify and face the court.
