Somalia’s Prime Minister Roble meets members of the international community

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, today met in Mogadishu with friends in the international community interested in Somalia.



Prime Minister Roble and high level representatives of the international community was to exchange views on the best way to overcome these challenges, election security in general and the preservation of stability in the country.

Representatives of the international community in Somalia are working to resolve the dispute between Somali leaders over the country’s elections, and the biggest obstacle to reconciling them. ”It is now more urgent than ever for Somalia’s political leaders to place the national interest first, and work together. To hold elections that are broadly supported as soon as possible to move the country forward,” they said in a joint statement issued in Mogadishu.
