“On behalf of myself, on behalf of the President of the Somalia, on behalf of the Somali parliament, I first congratulate all the Somali people wherever they live,” said Speaker Sheikh Aden Madobe.

He also explained why the president was absent from the June 26 ceremony, and revealed that he had ruled that the community he was responsible for should be discarded, as it was easily transmitted through Covid-19.

“I also want to pray for our president. I am not burdened now, as he felt that he could not come due to circumstances. He delegated it to me and I pray to God to heal him as soon as possible,” he added. Sources say Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud health is serious and he is on oxygen.

Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur continued by saying that the president is in poor health, and prayed for God’s forgiveness, and called on the public to remain calm.
