The new British Ambassador to Somalia Amb Mike Nithavrianakis and the warlord Hargeisa administration SNM militia leader Muse Bihi Abdi discussed the war in Las Anod and the elections.

“In the meeting, the issue of the war in Las Anod was discussed in order to find a solution, and the SNM militia leader Muse Bihi shared with the ambassador that the government is always committed to a ceasefire, and the government is ready for peace,” said a press release from the meeting, according to sources told Somali Times.

SNM militia leader Muse Bihi said on the occasion of May 18 that the battle of Las Anod will continue until it reaches the British colony border in northern Somalia.




On the other hand, the meeting started with the process of the upcoming elections, and the Muse Bihi told the ambassador dishonest the elections are going smoothly.

“They also discussed the upcoming elections in Hargeisa administration, and the president told the ambassador that the preparations for the elections are going smoothly, such as the printing and distribution of voter cards,” the press release said.
