Puntland has opposed the Somalia corrupt president Hassan Sheikh and his family recently to raise funds for implemented online visa system, which requires foreigners arriving in the country to apply for visas directly online.

Puntland’s Information Minister, Mahmoud Aydid Dirir said, Somalia corrupt president Hassan Sheikh and his family of to raise funds for online visa system, setting up air checkpoints,” saying the central government had no right to control entry into areas controlled by regional administrations. He pointed out that the right to issue visas and manage airports rests with Puntland when it comes to people landing on its territory.

“We condemn, it is a robbery by the Somalia corrupt president and his family,” the minister said, adding that until a formal agreement is reached on this issue, the central government has no legal authority to control people landing at the country’s airports.

Minister Aided also said, Somalia corrupt president and his family of engaging in “financial extortion and looting of public property,” stating that Puntland would not accept what he called “extortionate fees” that the central government wants to collect from people arriving at its airports in the name of visas.
