Somali business owner becomes target and killed in Nairobi

A missing businessman was found dead in Nairobi. Bashir Mohamed, a businessman who went missing weeks ago, has been found dead on the outskirts of the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, according to his relatives. The body was found in a bush about 180 km from the capital Nairobi. Relatives of the deceased said that Bashir’s killing was carried out with bullets, and that there were also other wounds of torture.



They added that the body has now been taken to the morgue in Mwea, Kirinyaga where the body was found. He went missing on 13th May and was later found dead ten days later on the outskirts of Nairobi in a vehicle believed to be his. He is also a US citizen who runs a construction company and has undertaken major projects in Kenya.

The incident caused strong concern and fear of losing businesses to Somalis and other foreigners in Kenya, particularly in Nairobi, Kenya.

Somali business owners should think about relocating their businesses and leave Nairobi with immediate affect or they will be a easy target. According to Kenyan officials told Somali Times Somalis are easy targets.
