Ethiopia says we have no official statement about the exit of our troops in Somalia




The Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said there was no official statement from the Somalia government, which Ethiopia was informed that Ethiopian troops will be withdrawn from Somalia end of the year 2024.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nabu Tedla said that the news is to leave the Ethiopian troops from Somalia, said the Hassan Sheikh’s security advisor.

Ethiopia’s spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said there is no official diplomatic relations in Somalia.

Nabu Tedla said talks related to the army will replace African Union and have yet to start, and continue the first phase.

Thousands of Ethiopian soldiers are in Somalia in a bilateral agreement between the two countries and the African Union Mission in Somalia.

However, the Somalia government has angry the entrance agreement between the Ethiopian and Somaliland government, wants Ethiopian troops to leave the country at the end of the 2024.
