Farmajo says Somalia’s election has foreign countries controlling their sovereignty and internal affairs.

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo today addressed a special session of the House of the People of the Somali Parliament.

President Mohamed Farmajo has said the political situation in the country and political parties are still in dispute and he is, as he finished the Dhusamareb conference. He said that members of Parliament will change MPs elected to avoid any political cause,



President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo says Somalia’s election has foreign countries controlling their sovereignty and internal affairs.

President Mohamed Farmajo pointed out that every four years there will be free and fair elections in Somalia, and he has appointed election commissions. He added that the President of Puntland written agreement of the 17 September 2020 elections, and officials were present, has not accepted at that time.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo said that the upcoming elections and the political situation in the country are in the hands of foreign interference, adding that there will be no constitutional vacuum.

Finally, the President said he was ready to implement the agreement reached on September 17, 2020 in the country’s elections, and called on members of Parliament to work with him on this.
