Former Al-Shabaab commander Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, who is also the chairman of the Union of Opposition Candidates, addressed the media in Mogadishu today, strongly criticizing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

The former Al-Shabaab commander has announced that there will be demonstrations about civil war instead talking about the maritime case. ”Kenya and Somalia are demanding a general election,” Sheikh Sharif said.

Meanwhile, politician Abdirahman Abdishakur, who is also one of the candidates in the Opposition Council, told the media that the demonstration announced by Sheikh Sharif will take place on Friday, February 19, 2021.

The story of Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke and Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame is signing a memorandum of understanding with Kenya ’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Moses Wetangula on a historically contested maritime border issue caught by many Somalis and Somalia observers by surprise.

“Mr Abdirahman is the man who signed the controversial agreement with Kenya’s former Foreign minister Moses Wetang’ula with the maritime border through negotiations at the United Nations.”

Sheikh Sharif Ahmed owes a full explanation of the issue to the Somali people and to explain why it was necessary to hastily engage in this matter before consulting with Somali scholars and other international experts.

Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke and Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame are known by the Somali people as crooks about what they have done in Somalia and still are talking about how nobody will elect them as President of Somalia because they created the maritime case just to get money.
