Reports from the Sool region say that today a heavy battle has broken out again outside the city of Las Anod, the center of the region, between the Hargeisa SNM militia forces and the SSC forces.

The fighting, which started again yesterday killing women and children as usual, is reported to have spread to the front areas in the north of the city.

The news adds that the war is accompanied by intense bombing, which further complicates the difficult situation there.

It is also reported that the situation in the city is difficult and that there is no electricity, which was damaged by the artillery.

The shelling also affected other places such as a vocational school, a center owned by the telecommunications company Telesom, other parts of the general hospital, a warehouse of a gas company and many houses. It is not clear the official casualties resulting from this war, but both sides are still exchanging heavy weapons and mortars.




In recent times, the situation in the city of Las Anod has been stable, although the authorities of both sides have been threatening each other to the media.

These battles are coming, with a statement issued by the UN Security Council regarding the difficult situation in the town of Las Anod in the Sool region, asking Hargeisa SNM militia leader Muse Bihi Abdi to withdraw its forces from the area of Las Anod, as well as to restrain the SSC forces, so that aid can be provided to reach out to the affected people.
