MPs say Ethiopian Airlines should be banned from Somalia’s airspace and business

MPs from the Somalia People’s Assembly issued a statement about issues related to the tension between Somalia and Ethiopia as a result of the maritime agreement in Addis Ababa.

“Ethiopian Airlines, considering the actions it has taken against the territorial independence of Somalia, should be immediately banned from the whole country, including Hargeisa,” said Somalia MPs.

MPs also advised the Somalia government lead by Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud to find another way for Somali citizens who travel to Addis Ababa, including those who go for medical services abroad, such as India, or other Somali travellers.

“It is necessary for the government to find another way for the Somali people to consider them, MPs said again in more than 170 MPs favour,” according to sources told Somali Times in parliament.

This proposal also resulted in a strong reaction from some of the Somali people who use social media on the Internet.

It is a clear aggression and provocation of Somalia’s parliament by psychopath Abiy Ahmed.

This is a proposal that has come at the right time and it will succeed, and the decision of the government and the parliament has been made.
