“I am telling the world that the Petroleum of the Somali people is not in agreement and whoever buys it is responsible,” said President Deni. Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni, who addressed a ceremony in Galkayo last night to mark the founding of Puntland, spoke about the decision by the incumbent government to approve the Judicial Service Commission and the Petroleum Authority.
President Deni described the move by the incumbent government as illegal, as they do not have the legitimacy to make fateful decisions, and Puntland will not recognize those councils. He warned the international community not to buy Somalia’s resources as agreed by its owners.
