Somalia President Hassan Sheikh says that the government has armed the clans to fight Al-Shabab has not worked, instead they are fighting against each other.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud said that he never intended to arm the Somali tribes, but he said that the government supported the tribes to liberate their areas from the Al-Shabab group.

President Hassan Sheikh, who was giving a speech at the Somali evil heritage conference in Djibouti. Heritage is foreign organisations and it is funded by foreign who want to destabilize Somalia, according to Somali officials told Somali Times.
”The government supported and encouraged the people to rise up and return to their areas, so that they could bear the suffering of Al-Shabab,” says Hassan Sheikh.

”Tribes are being armed. There is a problem with the tribes. We have been through tribal problems. But it wasn’t like that, it wasn’t comparable fighting against each other,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
The president described Al-Shabab as a cancer that has no cure and needs to be eradicated. He also described the tribal problem as an issue that the Somali people can find a solution.
