Somalia’s military court has announced the final verdict in the case of journalist Mohamed Abdiwahab Nur Abuja, who has been detained by the Somali government for almost five months. Chairman of the Supreme Court in the armed forces, Hassan Nur Shuute investigation has revealed that, not guilty after being charged Abuja after publishing an article about Somali government corruption.

Mohamed Abdiwahab Nur (Abuja) has been charged with false allegations in the Boondheere district and membership in al-Shabaab, according to a statement issued by the Somali government’s Ministry of Information on April 22 this year. Abuja presented to the military court in August has heard three charged, today announced that the court was not guilty of the murder of the alleged reporter.

The court’s decision was widely welcomed by media organizations, Somali journalists and relatives at the scene.
