Somalia, Djiboutian leaders discuss strengthening of bilateral ties




The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed and a delegation led by President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, arrived in Djibouti on a two-day official visit. The President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Guelleh, has met with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed.

The two presidents discussed the strengthening of the brotherly relations between the two countries, promoting the political, economic and social cooperation between Somalia and Djibouti. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Abdulkadir Ahmed Abdi, said the President praised the continuing support of our Somali brothers and sisters in Djibouti of Somalia, especially during the difficult moments of the country.




“President Mohamed thanked the Djiboutian President for his contribution to peace and state-building in Somalia. Also, the Djiboutian Government appreciated Somalia’s role in the liberation of the country, “said the Minister.
Somali diplomats who are part of the president’s delegation met with their counterparts in Djibouti and agreed on the further development of bilateral agreements signed between the two countries.
