Somalia president Hassan Sheikh says Kenya has suspended the visa deal




Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud said the Kenyan government has once again suspended the entry of Somalia passports to Kenya, which has had a strong impact on Somali businessmen and businesswomen who travel regular for business in Kenya.

Some of the Somali businessmen and businesswomen who spoke to Somali Times are concerned about the strong impact of the suspension of entry into Kenya on their business trip, while the burden has also affected the Somali community traveling to Kenya.

“When a person does not get a visa, he cannot book a ticket, the movement is reduced and the people who have Somali passports when they leave the regions of Somalia.”

“The reason why this happened is not clear. The Kenyan government has decided not to grant visas to Somali passport holders, and if it is found, it is difficult and time-consuming and sometimes not found.”

So far, there is no official news from the Kenyan government saying that it has stopped entering the country with a Somali passport, but this issue has been widely felt in recent weeks.

On the other hand, officials from the Somali Embassy in Kenya have also justified this issue as having affected the transition of the new government officials in Kenya, and they will start again.




The leaders of Somalia and Kenya, who held talks in Nairobi in early September of this year, agreed to ease the drug trade miraa between the two countries, which was part of the agreement to allow the Kenyan Airline to Somalia.

However, Kenya has not implemented even one clause of the agreement, and it is clear that once again the leaders of Somalia have signed false agreements that only benefit Kenya Miraa Khat drug trade with Somalia’s president Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, family and with cronies.
