Somalia’s Puntland governor Ahmed Elmi Osman Karash has fired Puntland’s interior, finance and security ministers, replacing them with new ones. The three dismissed ministers were Puntland’s most corrupt ministers and close friends of former Puntland governor warlord Said Deni.
Mohamed Abdirahman Dhabanad has been replaced by Abdiqani Hashi Bumbo, Hassan Shire Abgal has been replaced by Abdirizak Mire Hassan and Abdisamad Gallan has been replaced by Ahmed Haji Ibrahim Bakin.
The dismissal comes after the deadline for the two officials to hand over power to Ahmed Karash.
The move could escalate the political crisis between evil warlord Said Deni and Ahmed Karash, with Deni likely to return to Garowe immediately to resolve the issue.
