The body of former Somali President Ali Mahdi arrives in Mogadishu

The body of former Somali President Ali Mahdi Mohamed has arrives in Mogadishu at Aden Adde International Airport from Kenya. Ali Mahdi Mohamed died of Covid-19 disease.

The President of the federal government Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hassan Roble and other delegates have attended the funeral prayers, which the burial ceremony is scheduled to take place in Mogadishu’s neighbourhood.



The leaders of Council of Presidential candidates, including Former president Hassan Sheikh, and former Somali president Sharif Sheikh Ahmed also took part in the funeral prayers.
